maybe I am missing something but finding the recent discovery of an efficient, easy, less expensive way to convert natural gas to liquid fuel "Interesting" is an understatement of immence proportion!
This could speed up the demand to use natural gas as fuel for vehicles and spread that demand over the entire world and reduce the need for oil and "fuel" manufacturing in this country with lower cost energy.
How about a little more excitement from our members, its 5 o'clock someplace!!!

Thanks, that is exactly what I am talking about! All you facebook, utube, social media people
should "share" this information around the world! Look at www.facebook.com/senecafarms
and I even "tweeted" this message and I am 76 years (young) and I am excited! Fast, cheap, liquid fuel will speed things up so even in my lifetime natural gas will be the fuel of choice WORLDWIDE!

Shell is making high grade motor oil in Qatar from natural gas, Shell owns Quaker State and Pennzoil, they say its much cleaner base oil than crude.Don't sell your natural gas mineral rights.
Yes, this could be good - and it could actually be detrimental to the Landowner's Royalty checks...
...gas companies use the gas they are producing to create fuel - then charge for this - as expenses to the landowner...as 'deduction fees' against their Royalty Checks?... I think that Grayson or someone made a comment to that tune...sure-good-great...what IS on the horizon? Guess we'll just have to wait & see....
as one light lights another, nor grows less - so nobleness enkindles nobleness.
GG That would be me........
"Another new development is that many companies are converting all equipment to run of nat gas. Drilling rigs, compressors, frack pumps, electrical generators, and more are all being converted to run on gas from the wells. The trucks that deliver pipe, sand, cement, rock, water, and equipment will soon run on gas as will the earth moving equipment for roads, pads, pipelines, etc. That would add up to a lot of fuel.
I would demand that all gas be metered and the landowner get paid full royalties on all gas produced including that used onsite or off by the driller and/or its subcontractors. Not fair for the companies to get free fuel for all their equipment."
Thank you, Jim L. - I just couldn't recall who said what & couldn't track it down - apology & again - thank you for this information.
It's getting more interesting ALL the time, isn't it?...WHAT do you honestly think is going to come of all of this?...what you posted is probably EXACTLY what will be happening...my God. God be with us. Are we all just 'lambs to the slaughter' - in more ways than one? Ominous...foreboding...
What is the tentative time frame? They sure have all of THEIR ducks in a row, eh? - and all their 'little piggies' in a blanket. WHAT is there to 'like' about ANY of this? For the first time - I am more apprehensive than ever. It is a feeling of just being hog-tied & NOT the farmer running his show.
Do you think people understand what is happening? I think some people do...it's not gonna' be pretty, is it? WELL - good while it lasted...HUMPH! Guaranteed Minimum Royalty Act of 1979?...HUH! Yeah, right!...concerning Royalty - Retroactive...our Landowners have already 'written off' (?) their loss - fine with that (???). They are not asked for RETROACTIVE payment...they are fine going forward...??? It has only just begun...
asonelightlightsanothernorgrowslesssonoblenessenkindlesnobleness...alas, poor Yorick...alas.
...Jim - this kills me....thank you for this information. No insult intended with not granting just due to you on this....a GAME CHANGER indeed! (couldn't 'reply' directly to what you replied , Jim Litwinowicz - and again ***I pray that people read, know, & FULLY UNDERSTAND just what you shared.) - Do we even stand a chance? DO we?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
