A little off topic Man charged with abducting Seismic tester

I guess Dave took farmer law about no trespassing and following the  contract  a little to far.

Thank you for posting that, I needed a giggle. He is the true example of how to handle a situation wrong and I bet he's just shocked he got arrested. Funny!

I have known Dave for years and he is one of the most honest, hard working, caring guys I know.  I have not talked to him recently, but I am sure that there are two sides to this story.

What most people do not realize is that this seismic company and their agents have been harassing landowners in Columbiana County for the past 9 months.  For the past two months, they have been "accidentally" trespassing and  "accidentally" forgetting to follow the terms of the agreements.  Again and again.  As a landowner, these continuous incidents have led us to the point where we have to constantly patrol and monitor our land to protect our homes, crops and buildings while these guys are working in the area.  There are literally hundreds of men working in our fields, around our homes, on the roads and in the air while this testing is taking place.  Most residents are at work while all this is going on.  However, farmers like myself and Dave witness this all day, every day.  While I don't condone what he allegedly did, I do understand his frustration.

Remember that everyone in this country is innocent until proven guilty, so please give Dave the benefit of the doubt until his peers have made judgement.

I've done business with Dave a few years ago and I will agree with what you said.   I too understand living in Columbiana county, "The why wait around till maybe the CC sheriff shows up" when dealing with trespassers.
