What would be your reaction if this took place upon your property?

 My response :

Trespassing endangering the public to have the police baby sit you instead of protecting the citizens is both childish and irresponsible as adults. I hope you are arrested for criminal trespassing, endangering public safety and are assessed for the cost of police and the damages in the lost productivity of the rig and crew at about $15,000 per hour!
As a landowner if you were on my property you would be arrested and I would press charges with more pressure than any frack could generate!

They should not have to have an injunction, criminal trespass is not a legal first amendment right.

A chainsaw would fix the problem
These people stop at nothing. The police should arrest them, for sure. If they went so far as to physically enter my property, it wouldn't be pretty.

Where is our purple squirrel that eats nuts at?

All the bravado set aside, I would demand action from the state police to remove the protestors if they were actually on my property.   They do not have the right to protest on my private property.  I guess public property could be viewed differently but that would be government`s problem and my mine.  Liability is a major issue here for any injuries from these folks on my property.   I would be preemptive, and place clearly, no trespassing signs to hopefully avoid any litigation for injury problems.   And then there`s the issue of property damage from these folks, too.  Who pays for it?

check out the eco-terrorists website: http://marcellusearthfirst.org/

What a bunch of losers - at the very least show your faces you terrorists!

Very interesting as they are as hypocritical as you can get, some real nut jobs!  I would hope Home Land Security would have them under surveillance !

I figured it out!!!! When it comes to these antifrackers have you noticed where or what hits their nerve first? State owned land or Federal lands why? It might interfere with their hidden Marijuana growing operations!

Please dont kid yourself....these people are an offshoot of Earthfirst and the EDF,  they have no problem with violence, and extreme property damage. There is plenty of info out there on them and their founders. This is not your "Butler-anti" group or the Hockey/lacrosse parents fighting the gas Co.s in Cecil and South Fayette, who are just bored residents with a law degree.

Their hallmark is the long term manipulation of the very young, "lost-soul" type of kid, they befriend them give them a place to feel part of something bigger, then train them to commit property crimes. They are well funded and organized. Be thankful your police were quick to act so they will know what to expect next time. There will be a next time.  My guess is this was just a probe by them to see what the reaction of law enforcement would be.

I agree with you that they are being trained to get violent and are well funded. They have documents showing levels of participation in the protests right down to the person who waits by the phone to write bail checks. And for so many people, many of them unemployed, where do they get the money for bail?

When I read this earlier I kept thinking number one of how my neighbors would react. You just don't go walking on someone else's land where I live. And then how they don't even consider the truck driver trying to make a living who would have hit that cord and possibly killed two kids and what that would have done to him or her. And if the rig was shut down and people got sent home from work, a lot of service companies pay hourly so that's lost wages for a whole crew of people. They want to fight the "corporation" by being martyred, but it's the workers and landowners who suffer from their actions.

In short, these people are nothing but "terrorists".  Just like the "Earth Liberation Front" that burned down those several ski resorts located in the Rockies a few years back.  60 minutes even did a segment on them!  Don't worry, the FBI and now the "all powerful" Dept. of Homeland Insecurity is watching them.

It's the same group, look on their website. They even have a button to click on for donating specifically for bail money. I saw that segment on 60 minutes it was within the last 20 years. Can't believe someone else remembers that show. Nice recall there Jasper.
