Hi All Our cabot lease runs out November 2012. What is the current price per acre that Cabot is paying to renew leases? There is no extention on our lease. We've signed a pipeline agreement with Williams. I live in Susquehanna county pa. gibson Any special advise for us with resigning? Thanks

I would contact them now because many companies are not renewing at all. They know if they are going to renew and have known for some time.
Depends on what you want to do . If you want to get a new lease then reach out to all companies that are active. Talk to neighbors and local politicians like twnsp supervisors to find out who is active and what is being offered. If your old lease is poorly written, study issues and other leases to see how a new one can be better written.
If low prices have depressed activity and thus lowered offers, you may want to wait a year or two to see if things improve. But that depends heavily on your current financial situation and your courage to play the waiting game.
If you are happy with all aspects of your lease, then call Cabot and see what their plans are.
Good luck!
