It is my understanding that Chesapeake is not paying royalty payments this month for most of Bradford and Sullivan Counties. No statements, company line, costs were greater than production, landowner owes us money.

Permalink Reply by Robert J. Smith on June 23, 2016 at 3:21am Chesapeake did not renew lease on 140 acres in Jefferson County Ohio. Chesapeake can pay nobody because of their financial situation. Also, they are being sued in PA and OH for non payment of royalties in class action suits. Everybody will probably end up suing them until they are forced into bankruptcy and maybe even go out of business.
