Pat,

You can check every permit in WV using this link:

http://www.dep.wv.gov/oil-and-gas/databaseinfo/Pages/OGD.aspx

Pretty tight lipped aren't they(Chevron) They bought are lease from AB Resources right beside Majorsville Wv

they also bought our lease  in Cameron area ,,,,,, the well was in production and chevron shut it down ;;;; its been over a year ;;;;; not any info from them ;;; I did find a name and telephone number of a guy who says he will be our contact ;;; I had to find him he didn't contact us ;;;; anyway he was pretty non committal did say we were expected to be back online in april or may ;;;; we'll see

our mineral rights are on 36 ac NE of the Whipkey well (within a mile) off of Bane lane.we received 3k per ac on the lease and 15% royalties.no well yet.would be curious how well the royalty process went without the actual #s.thanks for reply

Seems like Chevron may have some new interest in this area of Northern Panhandel of WV I guess time will tell.

I know we have about 18 months left in our 5 year lease so Iam going to make a wild guess and say I might know more in a year and a half.

after the well got on line it took about a month to start getting royalty payments that started out strong then ywent down steadily but that had to do with the market and a lot of factors ;;;;;;we don't have a well on our property but are part of a unit with 3 other farms ;;;;;;;;; I would say your guess is right ;;;;;  if your lease is set to be up you will be hearing from them ......good luck ...

thank you RMC and ellen for your replies and good luck
