We need to get dedicated landfills and form a different agency other than DEP to oversee this process of regulation in the Marcellus play region. A group that is not politically motivated is needed to ensure the northeast is not polluted like Texas and the southwestern states.

Texas: Dallas, San Antonio, Houston - All rich, clean, thriving cities with rich suburbs because of Oil and Gas.

Pennsylvania: Pittsburgh - struggling, poor farmers, no industry, low paying jobs.

Please don't compare Pennsylvania to Texas.
There is a balance and symbiotic relationship to build or better yet nutured. However, don't kid yourself brother, Texas is one of, if not the most polluted states in the nation. It produces more CO2 than every nation on earth, but six. I hope I can't compare the two states in that regard. Your state is still trying to recover from the poisons left over from coal, have you not learned the cost of progress, yet?
I'm not sure landfills are the answer. The waste is mostly water and there are ways to treat is. What really needs to be done is the opening of the right kinds of water treatment plants (more new jobs!).
