Defering Taxes

Has anyone discussed defering taxes on the leasing of Gas rights via a 1031 exchange or other methods with a knowledgeable tax person? Is it possible?

It is possible to defer capital gains taxes on the sale of natural gas rights through a 1031 exchange, but it does not allow you to defer lease payments. Feel free to contact me to discuss in more detail.
