Drilling for gas in NY.

Are energy companies allowed to drill in new york, or is there a ban on drilling.  Looking at property in western new york, alittle north of erie,pa.  Anyone have any information?

I personally support the fracking ban in NY. It has driven oil and gas companies to us in Ohio and we're more than happy to enjoy the economic benefits. But seriously, how much longer can the state send money away before the citizens get fed up?

You mean the people who grow our food and produce our dairy that we consume are outnumbered by investment bankers and insurance salesmen, right? Landowner's should impose a moratorium on production of food. See how long the folks in Albany can handle that.
