Eclipse Resources files S-1 in Preparation of IPO

additionalAccording to Shale Daily date of May 9, 2014:

Eclipse Resources has filed an S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission stating it will raise 100 million in the coming months on the New York Stock Exchange.

Some highlights from article:

Eclipse has 227,230 acres under lease.  96,240 Utica acres are considered prime acreage; additional 25,740 is called the Marcellus project and is located in eastern Monroe Co. OH mainly near or bordering the Ohio River.

EnCap Investments since 2011 has raised 717 million dollars to fund Eclipse.

Eclipse has secured Blue Racer Midstream for  its Utica acreage.   Eclipse has not secured a midstream handler/processor for its Marcellus acreage.

Eclipse plans to drill 53 operated wells in 2014 and participate in 17 non-operated wells.  Currently running three horizontal rigs and one top hole.  Plans to add three horizontal rigs by year's end.

The Oxford acreage is key. How did Straker know where the Utica Sweet spots were 3-4 years ago? What he did in Guernsey, Belmont and Monroe was brilliant.

That's good news, My mother leased 130 or so acres on the Ohio,Lee township line near the Stalder Well but she is leased with Eclipse.
