Energy in Depth transcribes some of Bill McKibben's quotes, insights and pearls of wisdom on parenting in advance of his Father's Day appearance in Columbus.

"Bill McKibben, a well known environmental advocate and author is coming to Columbus this weekend to continue his crusade against the safe and responsible development of onshore energy.  The man who campaigned feverishly against the job creating keystone pipeline now has his eyes set on Ohio and the Utica Shale.  But who is Bill McKibben and why should Ohioans be concerned with him coming to rally against the Utica Shale?

You can tell a lot about somebody by the topics they cover in their books, magazines or websites.  Mr. McKibben, as far as I can tell from his musings, seems to believe that humans are a plague to the earth and the only way for the earth to survive is if we were to somehow die off or limit our reproduction. Sounds legit. I don't care what this fractivist has done in the past...the reality of it all is that shale drilling in Ohio and PA has to much money, power, and political influence (lets not forget hydrocarbons) for this nutjob to make any headway. And after the November Election these delusional elitist who have nothing better to do with their time will go by the wayside...one by one. I usually dread the end of summer and the beginning of winter...not this year...it can't get here fast enough.

oh..............i thought the advice was gonna be "stay away from old men named Jerry".

All of you do realize that Anne is being paid to post these things on here, right?  Per her twitter account, "once again living the dream in sunny Maaansfield doing energy PR".

If these activists, from both sides, wish to fight each other they should do so elsewhere.  This is a great resource for all those affected by the recent shale developments, and a place where people can discuss what's going on and to share information.  When paid PR people get involved, all they do is muddy the water and try to get people to fight with each other.

you're hot.

Jasper, I believe this is what you call sexual harassment.  My cat Jasper says he heard Kieth will be evicting you soon.
