For us it's all about hanging on to our royalties and/or hanging on to the benefits of drilling in our region of this Commonwealth. We must preserve the impact fee and kill a severance tax. There is good and bad:
Everyone already knows about the Wolf disaster. He is a direct and impactful threat to our well being. Wolf will do everything in his power to redistribute drilling's benefits to the Pennsylvania cities that elected him.
But Wolf was not elected King of Pennsylvania. Our Pennsylvania General Assembly has a lot of power, and there we desperately seek, and we find, good news:
However, concerns remain. Wolf has campaigned relentlessly on his platform to steal money rightfully ours and hand it over to cities and to his largest supporters, the teachers' unions. That's what "more funds for education" means.
So will the Pennsylvania General Assembly, our legislature, hold the line and deny Wolf and his band of thieves their treasure? Much of that answer depends on you. Make your preferences known to your Pennsylvania State Representatives and your Pennsylvania State Senators. If we stick together, and if we speak up loudly, we may yet keep this horrible Wolf away from our doors!!
