I just read a great small artical in Discover magazine that says in places like, West Virginia, Louisiana and Western US many fracked wells that have shown to produce significant hot water can have a second life later as a source of geothermal energy.
I tried to find a link but couldn't, sorry. I thought this was very positive news.
