Does any one know what the rules are in regard to how far away from a pipeline you must stay
in order to build a structure? The reason I ask is they say they want to buy a right of way that
will be 50 foot wide. But if what I hear is true, they say that you have to stay 300 feet from any
pipeline if you want to build a structure. So infact they will be tieing up a 650 foot wide area
that I won't be able to do anything with.
So if that is correct, should'nt they have to pay extra for that?

You will hear everything from $8 per ft to $20 per ft about "the going rate". I think a mean average is $15 per ft - which works out to about $6,500 per disturbed acre.
