Gas transmission line easement rights being bought along Newton Falls rd

Any Advise on  what they should be paying an what to look out for? They are talking a large line to be place next to an older line already there. Can't we 'neighbors band together? The land is my cousin's but I live with him. He is older with ilness and doesn't keep up with these things. I'm trying to help him not get screwed. I'm next in line to manage farm. Cheseapeke has a large well on his property for last three years and it is just sitting idle. Any body have any idea why?? Getting no $ from it and it is taking up a lot of farm land. It destroyed any value. Well is very close to where the old house used to be and where the barn still is. Can't use or sell it now for anything else and not getting any $ off it!!

Could that be the Geatches well??

Sounds like a 'New' agreement. At least I hope so. Kinda sticking my noise in trying to help him not get screwed again. Would rather not say what well. Don't want to upset my cousin. I'm living here with him and gradually getting 'involved' due to his health. I've heard they have approached others along the road. Anybody have any info? Any news on the newer wells in the area or any plans for new wells?

Margaret,  Do a search on my name and look at the advice that I have given to people in the past months when pipeline companies were asking for a signature on a contract that didn't descibe the pipe size, content or location. I also recommended a lawyer in Columbus to look over the contract before it is signed, or better yet rewrite it to protect the landowner then sign.

Good Luck with your pipeline and minerals.  Let me know if I can help.  Ron Hale
