Geokinetics, Inc in Mercer County!

On my way home from work yesterday I passed six giant white trucks that had Geokinetics on the doors. There also are cables running from Sandy Lake to I-79 that connect to boxes. I found out that Geokinetics is a geophysical service company that services the petroleum and mining industries! I guess somebody is spending a lot of money to find out what is under Mercer County! I hope they find a lot of what they are looking for! Mercer County has both Marcellus and Utica.

i guess people would rather talk about roads than how to benefit from information that is available to them- the information is not private - anyone can buy it.  It is expensive, but would be a great asset when negotating a lease or renewing.

In talking to one of the people who was on the site doing the seismic testing, was that the people that own property in this area, just hit the lottery. 

Maybe a lot of bull, maybe not....

Will see when the drilling starts, and the gas/oil, etc starts pumping.

Sorry lara I been taking a break off the serious stuff. Those bicycle people  are something. I wouldn't go buying anything yet. You have to know what you got and how to read it. The Geo guys don't know that

you hit the jackpot either.

Thomas and homer- i agree-talked with them as well - seemed as if they know just as much as city bicycle riders.  Doesnt matter - we can wait and see or purchase the info. ourselves for around 3k a mile.

 and as homer said - how do you read and interpret 2d graphs?
