Recently I've heard numbers ranging from $2000 to the $2500+ area. Royalties 12.5-15%. Some of this depends on acreage and location. Those numbers are for actual leases signed already. I suspect these numbers are probably going higher as we speak. This is in Chippewa and surrounding municipalities.  

Personally I wouldn't sign for anything less than $2750 and 15% and it would be a good lease not the plain jane lease the companies show up with. I would try and push for $3000/acre and 16/17% though. These are all Chesapeake leases btw.

try to push 3,000 with 18% and for what its worth put in your lease the "right of first refusal" clause it give you some leverage if and when you sign a lease good luck!!

What township are you in and how many acres do you have?
