My property in Guernsey County is already leased to Anadarko but I did get a mailing yesterday from Gulfport Energy offering leases at a per acre bonus of $5000 and a 20% royalty rate. They are having a huge lease signing event this weekend in Cambridge.

I have a copy of the mailing in front of me, what info would you like for me to summarize?
Did they send you an actual lease and addendum?
No, just the single page mailing containing the details of the offer and the place, time of the event on Friday and Saturday of this week.
Can You post the details I did not get the letter and was just released from a lease from Carrizo. We have 40 acres in the middle of some land gulfport already has leased? When and where would we go to see what gulfport has to offer.
This dates from late April and it was $5,000 per acre and 20% royalty. They had a big public event at the Civic Center. Gulfport is located in Oklahoma City at 14313 N. May Ave. Suite 100, zip is 73134. There was no phone number included with the mailing. Perhaps Gulfport has a local office somewhere in the Cambridge area. There is an e-mail address of LeasingInfo@gulfportenergy.com. I hope this is helpful to you.
Thank You
KWGD, the law firm out of Canton that successfully organized and bid a landowner group to gulfport in the fall of 2011, will be holding a meeting tonight at 6:00 at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center in Cambridge to organize a new landowner group. More info can be found under the comment section of the Guernsey County page.
Thank You
The devil is in the lease details. I can't believe people are going to a signing without having a copy of the lease and addendum to study or have reviewed by a good oil and gas attorney.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
