Has anyone been approached by companies that want to buy your mineral rights?

I got 2 letters that made my mineral rights appear to be a bad thing.  They offered me 93,000 per 50 acres.  I was all ready told Im in a planned production unit by Chesapeake. I replyed with a not too nice letter.  I think we all have to be on guard for scam artists, with the gas rush going on..Im sure they will try  to prey on our older population.  Anyone have feedback they want to add?  The company was Fossil Royalties LLC

Agreed...It would be stupid to sell....but I do not see how that could be classified as a "scam."

MC Minerals in Ok City offered $6400.00 an acre about 5 weeks ago. I am in Wilmot also leased to Chesapeake.

Pleses contact a lawyer in this field first and then find your local land owners coalition..
sign nothing until you research..
