I'm in PA, and I wanted an addendum added to my pipeline lease that states, "If the pipeline is considered abandoned, the pipeline must be removed." The pipeline land man said that they can't do this because they follow Federal Regulations, which say that the pipeline remains in place. Does anybody know about this regulation?

Permalink Reply by Philip Brutz on January 8, 2014 at 2:57am Fifty years from now they may come back and install a new pipeline using the existing ROW.
