How long does it take

Just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes from the start of drilling till royalties?

It varies widely I think but for us it was a year and a half.  Our well was drilled in spring 2013.  We had no pipeline.  That was installed spring 2014 and we received our first royalty check for q/2 of Mar, April, May around July 31.  Should get one month check from now on around the first.

pipeline is already in place they started drilling in April of this year

Do you have a processing facility nearby that is processing gas from other wells?  I would expect considerable less time than a year and a half if you have infrastructure in place already.

Yes the processing facility is nearby, I was hoping by spring they would be producing,

We have production numbers from April, May and June and Ryan Swyden from CHK wrote me that the check would be sent the end of Sept.  We were permitted in May of last year.  We are in North Twnshp, Harrison county

About six months if I remember correctly.

It took me six months from the productions start then I got a check for four months.
