I am trying to understand how to read the ODNR Gas and Oil Well Locator.  I want to find if my property is in any of the wells.  I have been on the well locator at ODNR.  I was told to locate the wells close to me and it would give a list of whose land is in that group of acres for that well by the plot number.  I can't seem to find how to do this.

Can anyone please give me some instruction on this.

Thank You

Start by clicking the large green locator tab.
Then up top of the map click the mag lens (the search icon).
Then enter well name or well ID number.

Once you find the well, there is quite a bit of info found at bottom of page
under the link: "well summary". . This includes drilling permits, drilling plats,
and completion summaries. The drilling plats presented to ODNR supposedly list mineral owners, but that info is gleaned from county tax office, so some caution there
as to accuracy.

thanks that is working for me.  Is there a way to get a list all of the wells in Harrison county?

You can download an Excel spread sheet or a pdf list of drilling activity here:
