I need a quick but thorough whats what...

Howdy all!  I am a land owner (50.2 acres) in Monroe County OH (Northern border of Center Twnshp.)   Anyone who can get me pointed in the right direction as to who is grabbing up mineral lease rights and such I would REALLY appreciate it.  I keep hearing my neighbors are getting big money and crazy potential royalties...and I have not a clue who to reach out to.

Also once I reach these energy firms what do  I need to ask, watch out for, or say no to?  I know next to nothing about ROW's and land leases/mineral leases...etc. etc.

Dave, when I started to read and ask questions on this site I put in a couple of hours a night. right now all I can say is keep talking to your neighbors,Start to learn all you can about your oil and gas rights.(do you own them or not) are you HBP (held by production) do you have any lease offers?..........Knowledge is power!               And or contact an oil and gas attorney  All of the above is your best bet.      IMHO

Dan thanks for the help and insight. No lease offers yet. I need to hike up the hill and see who my neighbor is talking to.

Jay,  Thanks for the reply and information.  As it turns out I am on the EAST side of 800 so I guess things are in a holding pattern.
