This doesn't feel right.  Shell has had enough time to run the governors of PA, OH and WV through the wringer to get ever concession possible.  Yet, the announcement of the ethylene cracker hasn't been made.  Keep in mind that the lead time on this facility is six years.  Something doesn't smell right to me.  Is shell waiting to see the results of more wells before committing $2 billion?

you put it all into perspective. as landowners we had NO IDEA what lay under us. we bought it for many other uses and as you stated our hard earned money and lets not forget TAXES we have paid faithfully less the state foreclose on us. Disfranchasied , you can stick it and there holy than now attitude.

What??  A CEO is acting cautiously with his stockholder's money when dealing with the Marcellus and Utica shale plays?  This is unheard of to date but also very comforting that someone is actually waiting to see how the wells produce before blowing millions, perhaps billions of dollars on a cracker plant.  I realize us landowners want to see things happen quickly, but the plain truth is it will likely be years before any of us see one of these wells anywhere near our properties, producing in the quantities that we are hearing about in Carroll county anyway.
