Heading north from Wilkes-Barre, PA and passing under Forest City toward Starrucca, PA near the Delaware River and NY, is a geological feature called the Lackawanna Syncline, a sort of concave fold in all layers including Marcellus. The syncline has been blamed for the one non-productive well drilled in NE PA and the reluctance of companies to bid on properties located in northern Wayne County. I've seen enough data to believe that the syncline exists. Anybody have any information on the availability of gas from a syncline?
