Here is comment by the Ohio Oil and Gas Association on this bill; they seem to like it.

How will it affect royalty owners?

Thinking it patently unfair / un-American to landowner lessors / prospective lessors to inflict force pooling, oil & gas well ownership, developmental cost, production cost, post production cost, market enhancement cost, tax increases, severance taxes, etc. on landowner lessors at the sole determination of one individual (that individual being the Chief of the Oil and Gas Division of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources).

Those elements of rule / in law did not exist when we made our decision to invest in our land / mineral rights and we think, should not exist anywhere in the U.S.A. today.
What's also mighty strange to me is the way our leadership spends our treasure and blood under the pretext of fighting for freedom & rights of oppressed people in other parts of the globe while simultaneously undermining our (citizens) freedoms and rights here at home.

Doesn't anyone besides me see that paradox / contradiction ? ?

Wake up.

We're being used and abused.

Our lands being in Ashtabula County caused me to call our Ohio House District 99 Representative John Patterson and go on record with our complaint of landowner abuse / trespass.

Every landowner ought to do the same.

Call your Ohio House Representative and give him / her an earful.

Recent info on tax proposal.  Rep. Jack Cera out of Belmont Co. got himself appointed to House Ways and Means Committee, the Committee that works on the language of the bill.   His concern is the tax won't come back to the areas being affected.   Also no one from Eastern Ohio was on the committee.

Thank you Jack Cera for having a place at the table.   Definitely the one to contact about our concerns.

"My big concern is that the money is not coming back to our area. We are the ones who are having our way of life affected by it."

Welcome to Tax Policy 101.
