I have had 2 different attorneys saying they are helping me sell some mineral rights in WV and neither one has done a thing for me.  I started this last year and now I still have no buyer and am in dire straights with my financial situation. Back where I started and don't know what to do !!  attorneys suck

Ward Coffman, in Zanesville, has been an oil and gas attorney since the 1980's. Many attorneys in the valley were divorce lawyers who became oil and gas attorneys over night. contact Mr. Coffman at 740-454-1010

thanks Greg ! does he handle WV ?

I think so.

Rebecca,

Try Jeff Rokisky in WV who is licensed in WV, PA & OH.

They have been doing weekly TV and radio shows (AM 1170, 9am to 10am Saturdays) for some time and the auction method they use coupled with determining the value of your property based on surrounding wells seems to be the best way to sell minerals.

If you have relatives you can depend on, you can sell them a portion of your mineral ownership by agreeing on a percentage then putting them in your deed after signing a contract.

Good Luck.

I appreciate it, I had been with Rokisky  and he dropped of the earth and the ball and unfortunately had found no buyers for about 4 months.  Thats what I don't have is time, my time is running out.

I got a message from Eagles Ford or the Haynesville Shale where the landowner said he was surprized that we were not using a lawyer to oversee our royalty payments. As I responded, most Americans feel that after a company signs a contract then does whatever they want, that some state or Federal law would apply.

This is true, but we didn't know the O&G companies would use the money they steal from landowners to pay off the gov & atty gnl in each shale play state.

Shale play state govs & atty gnls will help label each shale play state as corrupt, and the title will forever be worn by the offending govs & atty gnl.

At least the landowners will be smart enough not to vote for a gov from a shale play state running for president that is being backed by corrupt O&G companies.

This is one true fact that would be worth dishing out by the party that opposes each of those governors when election time comes around.

I see I have more letters to write.

Will my ideas of how to pay back those who have stolen from us landowners and those who have partnered with them to not enforce the laws ever end?  I HOPE NOT!!!!

You hire a new one, send a letter to the old one & tell him he no longer represents you as of this date.
