If I got it straight, Gary Evans said the value of the MLP business now is over $1B and maybe more.  Not for sale anymore.   If that's Eureka Hunter, that's the one for the IPO.   He also said that the sale of ______? to Markwest still gives him heartburn because he could really use it now.   A processing plant I think in WVa?

No mention of the Ormet well that I recall.

It seems that I heard Eclipse is also considering an IPO for itself somewhere or other.   Makes sense.   Then Aubrey can swoop in, buy all the stock and have instant access to some really good ground.   I'm sure the Eclipse guys are licking their chops and planning their villas in the south of France just thinking about it lol.....

Here's the page for the presentation.   Ya gotta register to get the audio.  There are slides somewhere, but I never found them.

Would it have been "Carbide" that MH would have sold to Markwest?  Think that is also in Wetzel Co.

I read a Reuters article dated sometime the first week of October with some analyst saying they thought Eclipse would do an IPO soon and the value was right at a billion dollars.  Then Forbes Magazine had a list of 40 people under 40 years of age who are suppose to be movers and shakers:   No. 25 on the list is Ben Hurburtt at age 39 president of Eclipse Resources.

So guess all our land is making some people very wealthy.

No it was not the Carbide site that MHR sold to Markwest. It was a 200 MMcf per day capacity cryogenic natural gas processing plant. MHR entered into an agreement for the construction of the plant towards the end of 2010. Towards the end of 2011 Magnum Hunter's subsidiaries Eureka Hunter and Triad Hunter entered into definitive services agreements with MarkWest Liberty. The Agreements provided for long-term midstream processing and related services in the Marcellus Shale. Pursuant to the Agreements, Eureka Hunter sold its at the time under-construction 200 MMCFE per day capacity Thomas Russell cryogenic natural gas processing plant to MarkWest Liberty. MarkWest Liberty installed this plant which they named Mobley 2 adjacent to MarkWest's 120 MMCFE per day plant named the "Mobley 1" plant.

Thanks, Chip, for the info as to what MH sold to Markwest.  Now I really see why Evans regrets selling, the Mobley plant.  IMHO Mobley is a key plant for Wetzel, Tyler. & southern  Monroe counties for processing and those locations  as well as Washington Co. OH are Magnum Hunter's prime productive territory.

Coast Guard going to allow shipping frack water.  thirty day comment period is open.   This what Green Hunter has been wanting for the site in Wheeling WV.

Farley well results (such as they are) are STINKO.  3.0 Mmcfepd and no mention of liquids.  Hopefully, this is the result of the blowout and reduced frack stages used, or maybe there were liquids that weren't reported.  Effective lateral length ~2260'.  They are drilling another on this pad, so they must think it still has potential.

The Consol "pickle" projected about twice the output for this lateral length in this area, so it may be an outlier?  Time will tell.

This is a very pointed article to Gary Evans telling him he should sell the pipeline Eureka Hunter.   Comments following article are also worth reading.

The debate over Green Hunter locating in Wheeling/Warwood WV was taken to Charleston yesterday.

First article says Gary Evans CEO of MHR just purchased 30,000 shares and now owns almost 5 million shares of Magnum Hunter.

This second article from Oil and Gas Financial Journal gives Evans comments regarding Magnum Hunter and I detect a little hesitation about drilling as if they hope to drill a few very good wells and then be purchased by a very large O&G producer.    Just my humble opinion.
