Curious to what the payment offers are for right away for this project.

We have a small farm in southern Tuscarawas county and our neighbors have been offered 7000 an acre from the pipeline company for the ground the pipeline sits on.  I realize that some people are being paid by the lateral inch on the diameter of the pipe.

My question is this:

The pipeline company wants 30 feet of right away.  The pipeline company has already discussed imminent domain since this is an interstate project..

1. Surely on a project of this size and distance there are quite a few people on this forum that have signed already or are in the process of being signed.  Any recomendations or thoughts?

2. Has anyone ever been paid a small % on what is transferred thru a pipeline?

Thanks in advance

Curious where the pipeline is originating and running through, anyone know?  I'm sure it's not going to run up towards my way, but just curious anyway.

What company? I have never heard of anyone getting a %.

The company is Enterprise .

I believe the pipeline starts around Washington PA goes to Cape Girardeau MO and from there to TX.  They have been working on right aways and surveying for most of the summer.

I don't have the name of the company here but I will get it.

I had heard last summer of a project by Tenn. gas to move ethane from Washington co. to Texas, not sure if this is the same project.

I think you will see this pipe line scrapped. The announcement of two CRACKER plants being built in Ohio with a third plant still deciding where in the area there would be no need for such a pipeline.

There was another pipe line project that was to run from south east Ohio to near Toledo and the project has already been canceled.

Since this was mentioned " The pipeline company wants 30 feet of right away.  The pipeline company has already discussed imminent domain since this is an interstate project.. " that can be costly as a fair market value has to be established possibly by a jury, who knows?

Another thing is you said "neighbors have been offered 7000 an acre from the pipeline company for the ground the pipeline sits on." That is a purchase of land where they could do anything they want forever!

Then you said "The pipeline company wants 30 feet of right away. " a whole different picture as in a right of way can be limited to one line only of a certain size, no compressor stations, payment of damages ect. which may need further modification (more money) down the road for a land owner.

This is going to get very interesting, Sorry I missed the announcement of the new cracker plants, I knew Shell was looking to build some where in the tri- state area, Who is building these plants and where are the located? After ethane is cracked to  still needs to be transported to the gulf coast ( plastic ind.) Sunoco has a 8" product line from Canada to the port of philly. my understanding is that the sunoco refinery is to be shut down, but the tank farm is to remain

here was the thread of it notice I was right on about Shell the other was a bonus. As to exactly what property they would build on is still in question but I'll still bet it will be connected with AEP.

This was not Shell but I hit the location pretty close:

I will guess that Shell knows exactly where they are putting the cracker plant at. My guess is it will be in Ohio  between Bridgeport and Marietta, more than likely utilizing property that was owned by  American Electric Company. That could give them river frontage for barge transportation, a possible rail link and with the Moundsville WVA  coal burning power plant to be scraped a good possibility of a gas turbine facility to be placed there as it has a connection to the grid.

I wonder how accurate my guess will be?

Did I miss read your post? Mark West could install a plant in Monroe county? These plants are already up and running in other areas.
