For those that missed it, there's a new movie coming out later this year, called Promised Land. It's got an all-star cast, and was filmed about 3 minutes from my office here in Armstrong County, about 40 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. The locals were very concerned that this would be an anti-gas hit piece. The producers swore that it wouldn't be. They lied, and now the locals are pissed off and standing up.

Unfortunately, negativity and sensationalism sell more movie tickets than reality. Hopefully, viewers will take it all with a grain of salt. But that may be asking too much! Under any circumstances we seem to be stuck with a distortion of the facts which will likely throw gasoline on the fractivists' fire.
Let's reserve final judgement until we see the entire product. After all, the trailers are a device to put paid viewers in theater seats. Maybe there will be a "happily ever after" ending!
