Mineral Buyers in Monroe County, Ohio

Who buys Minerals in Monroe County, Ohio? Can anyone share any information about what companies are buying minerals and what a fair offer is? The property is in the eastern part of the County and they are under lease but not producing right now. 

We were offered $1,000/acre but that seems low. Partly bc it is an offer to purchase the minerals and not an offer to Lease. They are under lease by a company through 2023 assuming the lease is extended. The land is about 40 acres and owned by a few family members.

Although prices are depressed, I believe 1,000/acre is fairly low.  Significant contributing factors in determining a fair equitable price are the terms of the lease.

If you are "selling your mineral rights in Monroe county, ask for $10,000 per acre ,bottom line, or go fly a kite! Don't be cheated. If you had timber<would you give it away?
