I specifically asked the rep from Bounty if the coal minerals were included in their offer, and he stated that they were only interested in the oil and gas minerals.

Believe what you see in writing and what your attorney advises you. 

I'm sure the Bounty rep would not wish to mislead you, but they can say "we'd never want xyz", but once the minerals are sold, they are sold according to the documents used to convey them.  If they do not specifically exclude coal, then the rep's opinion isn't worth much later on when the strip mining equipment is pulling in.  My lease excludes specific types of minerals and it explicitly excludes coal.  So, it really needs to be in writing what rights you are selling and what rights you are keeping for yourself.

Yeah, the contract reads-no surface minerals,including coal,sand and gravel,bluestone.But he said the surface use(if it comes to that) would come under the same 'rules' as is written in the contract with the shallow well company Cap Rock.

I am selling my mineral rights for $3400 per acre in Clearfield County.  Need the cash to send my daughter to school.  Let me know if you want to buy up to 10 acres from a 50 acre parcel.
