Montage/Eclipse Taking 97% Deductions

Everybody who has a lease with Montage/Eclipse, be sure to check your July statement.  They took 97% in deductions from my property in Ohio this month.  You read that correctly: ninety-seven percent of my royalties were deducted.

If this is happening to you, write it here.  If you are an attorney who is interested in making some cash from a class-action lawsuit, write it here.

I can't help but wonder if Montage has been doing all it can, including reducing royalty payments to almost zero, to boost its value for the sale.  It seems like something that should be taken up with the state AG if that's the case.

Coming from the only person I trust at Eclipse/Montage he said they have been choking wells back due to the price in oil the last 3 or so months when oil really tanked , he said we should see lower values in our payments for around 3 months because of that obviously.. as far as deductions goes my understanding is they have a set price, no matter if they take 1 barrel or 2000 barrels the price of deductions stays the same .. and again everybody’s leases are different so I’m sure that also influences a lot . As far as legal action ,we have taken action twice with eclipse over the last 6 years and won or settled in our favor .. its a pain ,but at some point the kettle boils over and something needs to be done

July 2020 110 acres in two units didn’t receive any royalty check from Gulfport. First time this happened

No check from montage/eclipse in July. They have been taking 50 percent and more deductions for a long time. Phone call with no response.

Sometimes when a company is ready to sell they show the books to prospective buyer of profit made if it looks good makes a quick sell

I know a car dealer who wanted to sell for a high price within a couple years. So he sold cars cheap sometimes at a loss to bring the number of cars sold up and it worked for him. There is some slick gimmicks to get the job done sometimes

If anyone is interested in talking about selling their mineral rights, please check out Monarch Minerals www.monarchminerals.net. They truly care about the mineral owners and go over the positives and/or negatives of selling your minerals and talk about a fair price.
