Why was your contract invalid?  If it's due to a title issue, you may not be able to lease again until it's cleared up.  Also, has the contract been released?  Was the original contract recorded, and if so, has a release been recorded?

I would make sure your ducks are in a row before you try to sign another lease, or that one may be cancelled as well.

the landman pick up the vrong parcel [allredy leased to an energy company some years back]   I called  dps and told them about the mistake, but they are dragging their feet whit a response,

 i wonder what the are doing .
