Hello all, O called the ODNR at about 9:45 AM they are in the process of a meeting about it now. They had a few discrepancies in the data and had to verify what they were looking at. HOWEVER I WAS TOLD IT WILL BE POSTED TODAY !

These companies have done two-dimensional and three-dimensional seismic surveys, paying literally $40,000 per square mile," Arnold said. "Their maps are much more accurate and very proprietary."

They choke back the wells to make them last and to keep them from loading up with fluid .

These kind of wells do not have a pump jack to keep the fluid in check , the weight of the fluid would load the well up after time .

In this artical a geologist from YSU states they aren't choked and are running full steam. I personally have no idea I just thought I would share the link. Otherwise the artical is positive and leans towards what I believe, the companies are investing here for a reason.

Now you guys are talking!  I believe the first figures last year, scaled by the day not by a six month period with an on and off valve.

I do not claim to be an expert, but I see reason for optimism rather than pessimism in the ODNR reports coupled with CHK's response. I recall Aubrey McClendon's assertion from last fall that the Utica Shale will be "similar to but economically superior to the Eagle Ford". I see nothing that changes that statement.

DBD,

In what county and state do you live?  Hopefully, the well you describe is on your property! If so, maybe you'll soon be lighting cigars with $100 bills!!!

DBD,

Good luck getting into a unit. You must be near the new CHK gas processing facility site. I have property in Belmont County leased to CHK. No drilling activity yet, but the fat lady seems to be warming up!
