Noble County, 9 out of 10 top producing wells! Impressive results.
impressive IP's...........but many are high on initial production.......still, impressive.
How do the $$ production per day translate into the owners royalty? Is there a rule of thumb used to calculate?
12.5% minimum, maximum that I've seen (in general) is 20%. So there's a pretty big disparity between them. Best to go with the 12.5% minimum and use the lowest of the possible numbers.
these are the top 10 with full qtr production (80 days or more).

what is the gas per day measured in?
million cubic feet per day?
or?
MCF..........but they lump all NGL's in with that number.......this is how it is reported to the state........I have no idea how they convert liquids to MCF..........so the $ calculation is likely low.
other SUPER wells with less than 80 days production....

Booger,
When I look at the ODNR website for the production data, I don't see the $/day column that's in your info. It's good information for confirmation of royalties paid. Did you calculate it?
A new well just paid out Royalties and everyone got negatives in front of the wet gas production which apparently has been subtracted from the oil and gas positive values. Is this another way to cheat the land owner or a possible error?
What's wet gas worth these days on the open market?
Ron - the $/day is just a simple calculation multiplying the oil by $100/bbl and the gas by $4/mcf.........the NGL's are reported in MCF but I don't know how they convert.......so the numbers could be conservative............but I have seen this same calc used in industry presentations..........not exactly accurate, but the easiest way to get a quick look at general $ values.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
