Here’s how the Permits break down for Week Ending 2014-12-27.


Even though ODNR does not report on it I included a field for Expired Permits  


(those that were Permitted but no reported activity for more than 24 months).

ODNR leaves Permits issued that are older than 24 months in their totals.

Totals are broken out by Operator, then Permitted-Drilling-Drilled-Producing and Expired

and

Totals are broken out by County, then Permitted-Drilling-Drilled-Producing and Expired.

I do not understand why it is so difficult to cut and paste from Excel or Word into the box where you type your discussion or type your reply to a discussion.

Programming the Excel spread sheet to automatically generate the totals was easier than trying to post the results.

At least the web site is consistent.  It chopped the Producing and Expired columns for the Companies from each of my attempts to post when I broke up the amount of data posted to reduce the number of characters for each reply.

Very frustrating.

I hope what made the posts is useful for everyone.....

I believe I have found a way around the character limit restrictions.  I also have automated the generation of the county data.

I was wondering if the interest was for mostly for county information or if there was a desire to also see data on the companies as well.

Also, is there any interest in data for WV and PA?

Rita,

Hess has two companies, Hess Ohio Developments LLC (67 permits issued and development on wells) and Hess Ohio Resources LLC (only one permit issued and none for Drilling, Drilled, and Producing).

Hess Ohio Developments LLC is presently (as of Week Ending 2015-02-14) in 6th place for total number of permits issued.

I will try to have a breakdown for Hess in the next couple of weeks.  CHK (#1) and Gulfport (#2) are done.

would be cool to see the weeks activity separate from the running total......or last 4 weeks.....kind of an indication on the trend.

Were you looking to see a trend in where new permits were issued?

and/or

history showing permit status changes over a 4-week period?

By County or Company or Both?

4 week trend in new permits issued by county..........by operator would also be interesting now with the slowdown.
