Question for all, This got no answer on "Units" thread

Here is a question for you.  Monroe County, Washington Twp, HG/Whitacre units 701 and 702.  ODNR well finder map shows the normal NW and SE drilling horizontal directions on 701.  Now look at 702.  One of the horizontal "wells" completely ignores the norm.  It is shown actually crossing two or three of the 701 horizontals.  Can anyone please explain why this might be?

It doesn't seem right especially if you look at who's land it covers.  How can two wells with separate API #s cover the same ground? How can they ever know who to pay royalty to in such a situation?

This information is very important and is something we have all suspected.

It would seem the mineral owners would be entitled to 2! royalty checks.

And, WHO is the driller!!????

Looks like trouble..

JK,

It says in my post who the driller/producer is.

702 pad has six permits

API Number: 34111243280000
Well Status: WP
Well Name: WHITACRE ENTERPRISES INC 702 N-1H
Well Number: 702 N-1H

API Number: 34111243290000
Well Status: WP
Well Name: WHITACRE ENTERPRISES INC 702 N-2H
Well Number: 702 N-2H

API Number: 34111243200000
Well Status: WP
Well Name: WHITACRE ENTERPRISES INC 702 N3-H
Well Number: 702 N3-H

API Number: 34111243260000
Well Status: WP
Well Name: WHITACRE ENTERPRISES INC 702 S-4H
Well Number: 702 S-4H

API Number: 34111243250000
Well Status: WP
Well Name: WHITACRE ENTERPRISES INC 702 S-5H
Well Number: 702 S-5H

API Number: 34111243240000
Well Status: WP
Well Name: WHITACRE ENTERPRISES INC 702 S-6H
Well Number: 702 S-6H

The interesting part is that one of the702 laterals (number S-5H) looks to be crossing over 3 of the NW 701 well laterals.  What's up with that?  Doesn't seem right to drill through other permits!

This could be subject to change.  The Carroll county Ocel wells and permits location map  showed one of three horizontals crossing another one one for about two weeks, then the map was updated and now all three are now shown correctly.
