out of state mineral owner

      Live out of state and looking for someone I could hire in Greene Co. to do some investigative work at the court house for me.  Have some mineral rights on a property in Franklin Twp.  If anyone knows someone other than an attorney who does this please put me in touch with them.  Thank you in advance.

Are you just looking for someone to run the mineral title and determine the mineral right ownership in a particualr piece of property?  I've done a fair amount of work in Greene County.

Thanks for the reply.  Rex, what I need is someone who can help me find surrounding parcels to mine, names, parcel numbers and who holds the gas and oil leases if any.  I have a parcel that is not leased at this time and hoping to contact some companies that might have an interest.  If you can do this, let me know what you might charge and any other related content and we can talk via. phone or e-mail.  Look forward to hearing from you.

First of all, fandango is correct -- a lot of the records are online, and for a fee you can review those records yourself.   But if you decide to hire someone to go to the courthouse and actually do the research, then give me a call or shoot me an email and I'll be happy to discuss it with you.  My email is jrexbarnett@netscape.net, andif you want, I'll email you my cell phone number. 

 

In theory, the job shouldn't be a problem.  I say "in theory" because I don't like to make assumptions about land records, but, yes, I've done a lot of this type of work.  When we talk more I'll give you my background.

Kamm, Rex just might be your guy, but if not, just call the Recorder of Deeds Office in the Greene Co. Courthouse and ask for a reference.  He/She will know the person(s) that will best suit your needs.
