I realize and acknowledge most of the attention is on the Pennsylvania gubernatorial race.  But watch the legislature!  If we lose either house it could be real trouble for in-the-shale landowners.  Let's face facts:  it's the city folks against us rural types.  For the last several years the PA legislature has been responsive to our needs and values, especially as regards drilling.  That could change, literally overnight.  We need to hope for, and vote for, a positive outcome in the legislature.

Needless to say, worst outcome of all would be loss of either house of the legislature along with a Wolf victory.  If that happens, turn off the gas, turn out the lights, and cue the fat lady!  We will be toast.

In-the-shale PA landowners own a lot of land, but we are relatively few in number.  (Except in Philadelphia) it's one person, one vote.  Land cannot vote.  So strap in and keep your fingers crossed.

You nailed it ! Wolf is backed (MONEY) by George Sorous  last name might not be spelled right but he owns tankers that transport natural gas from other countries. PA's drilling will stop if wolf get in. Please vote with this in mind.

I don't think Wolf would stop drilling per se.  Not like in New York, for example.  And if we can hold the PA legislature, even with a Wolf victory, we will still have some power.

I will concede, though:

If Wolf wins and Democrats also take over the PA legislature, the result is unpredictable and could be extremely bad for us.  With that outcome drilling could stop.  There are people in that party who desperately want PA drilling to stop.  One or two of them even post on this forum!!

PA landowners cannot afford to sit this election out.  There is far too much at stake for us.
