Is there any way to know if you'll be in the pool of a well before it is drilled?  How do you know that you're in a well once it is drilled?  It feels like it was so long ago that we signed our lease & now we have wells coming close by so I'm curious to know if we'd be in any of them.

In Pa, once the permit to drill is approved you can get a copy of the intended unit, intended drilling length/direction and drill site layout. However the unit seems to change some once the well is drilled and they file the official unit with the count courthouse.

What state are you in?

I'm in Pa.  So I would get all the information from the courthouse?  Thanks for the help!

There are 2 well sites being prepped now.  Do you think I'd be able to get this information now or wait till they start drilling?
