Today we take a look at the Tennessee Valley Authority's NGCC Project that just came online, and compare it to the massive boondoggle of a nuclear plant down in Georgia. Though the nuclear plant in Georgia will produce a bit more than twice as much power as this particular natural gas plant, it's $14 billion dollar budget is already $900+ million dollars over budget just a few years in, and it's already years behind schedule. The entire nat gas plant cost a couple hundred million less than just the cost over-runs on the nuclear plant, and was completed in 2 years - a month ahead of schedule and $30 million UNDER budget.
