Property taxes: Surface/Mineral

Anyone seen an increase in their properry taxes due to a seperatiom of their mineral rights from their surface rights?

What state and county?

on 50 acres knox twp columbiana county.  The assessment on the land only. from 2006 to 2013 has  increased $46000.  My 1800's farm house has only increased the taxable value by $3400   I'm under the CAVU and my taxes increases about $300 for the year.

Tell me they are getting a tax reduction. I know my wife can do CPR.

Belmont County Ohio.
Have received both surface and mineral property tax assessments. Only use to receive surface assessments. How's that go? Death and taxes...

Ours just came in the mail and we are afraid to open it..................

I think we should all appeal.  I know I will be unhappy.

county has seen increases of revenue in every area and now property taxes
