Question-If my property is within a square mile of 2 producing wells, would I collect royalties from both wells with a 640 acre lease?

Also, how long does it take between the gas company to survey for pipelines and actually drilling. What is the going rate per foot for pipelines?

Hi Corvette,

What state and county are you in. With this information forum members can advise you where to look for permits or declarations of pooled units.

Do you know if you have been pooled into any of the drilling units that the wells are on?? Just because you are close  does not mean you were included in any of the units.

Permitting process, drilling, as well as bringing the wells to production takes some time. Here in PA it was about 14 months from when the permitting process started untill we saw the first royalty payment.

Hi Eric, I am in Jefferson county Ohio. I don't know if I have been pooled into a unit. Chesapeake came to  my friend about 1/2 mile away to let him know they wanted to survey for pipelines. They said there would be a well in the area this year.

Ok hopefully some of the Ohio people on the forum chime in. I do see posts on here regarding looking for permits on the ODNR website for Ohio.

I also think the drilling units are configued different in the Utica shale wells as opposed to the Marcellus Shale wellsthat we have here in PA

Thank  you for the reply Utica, I'm slowly learning here.

Thank you for the responses, there is no permit applied for just yet.
