Rumor: Chevron looking to buy a big block of deep rights.

A friend in the industry hinted today that Chevron may be looking to buy out, purchase rights or just buy a large block of deep rights...the hint was that maybe even a purchase of Buckeye Sierra's holdings.  This is of course a rumor, but something is happening.  A frack engineer said Chevron has 5 wells planned for the pad on Rt 250 by the tracks( two have been permited).   I'm not holding my breath just yet.

interesting.........where u talking about on 250?.......county/twp?

I believe the location is next to the rail overhead tressel, at 151 and 250, Harrison County, Monroe township.. Another thing I'm not sure of is, I thought that was the location a Dominion plant. Guess they could have changed their minds tho.

Only Chevron permits I see are for washington twp in Harrison County on engineers report.

Look again.  Well names are Wagner 1 and Wagner 2

my bad I see them now. Search did not show those for me the first time.

Maybe they might be interested in CHK block of 94,000 acres in Portage and Stark Counties Ohio.

While they're at it buy Mahoning Co from chk.

Actually while they are at it BUY ALL OF CHK...works for me...!

OK we'll go with that.

I thought chevron already bought a large percentage of the hbp deep rights in stark county off of atlas energy

I believe chevron bought atlas energy back in 2010 for $4.3 billion.

Atlas still has a building and yard on Rt 14 N of Deerfield-says Atlas on the sign out front.  Maybe a wholly owned subsidiary?
