Time is from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Company

"Come and meet Shell representatives and learn more about the company's

This would have to be a very interesting get together.

Terry,

Was this open house scheduled on 1/29/13 or sometime after that?

Terry: Has the Shell open house taken place at the Harrisville Fire Department? You cite an article from the Butler Eagle but unclear from your post if meeting was for 1/29/2013 which was yesterday. Please clarify.

The article was in Tuesday paper, indicating a meeting for January 30th, which will be tonight.

Sorry for not posting 'all' the info.

I have been to the shell office in Butler, and they will answer all your questions, and if they do not

know, they will not just 'give you an answer"

Thanks for clarifying Terry, I'm not sure if it would be worth it to attend this meeting or not.

Oliver:

I was shown a proposed pipeline which would be within 1/2 to 1 mile of where I live.

That was quite interesting to me, and at a meeting like this, I believe a lot of info

can be gotten.....sighning is all over, and in the past.....now onto the proposed sites

for putting a pad, pipeline, etc.

My granddaughter father-in-law just signed for a pipeline through his property.

  Heading towards Boyers.
They have a good idea of where they are going,   Just have to ask the right openly questions.

I will definitely be there.......and free food and drinks, what more could you ask for,

yea I know, a strip joint, but that will not be.

Terry

Why do you think lease signing is all over with and in the past? Did someone from Shell state that to you? The reason I'm asking is, I am unleased at this point.

Lease signing all over with.....?

don't know where that came from....exactly the opposite

Was refering to my signing over a year ago....all over and done that....as the

saving goes....sorry for the mislead

Terry: Hope you or some others who post to site will attend meeting and perhaps post brief summary. I have several cousins who hold land in SW Mercer County. Their acreage was a part of the acreage that Halcon walked away from. They live out of state and clearly can not get to meeting on such short notice. Thank you for clarifying the meeting time. It is unfortunate that it was not advertised earlier.

I don't know why it was the last minute, I usually go through the paper pretty

thorough.

Will see what I can find out about Mercer.  Will be interesting to see what they

have planned for Mercer; after stopping at the Venango line.

The planned pipeline that I mentioned, seems to go north to the Venango

line.

I stopped by the Shell open house tonight, and it was a meet and greet PR type affair. Did talk a Shell rep about Mercer County. he said that Shell is still interested but they are currently NOT actively leasing. He did go onto say that the "big" upfront leasing bonuses are a thing of the past and that all the O&G companies are heading that way. I did ask if he had ever heard of the supposed meteorite in Sandy Lake/Stoneboro area and he looked at me like I was crazy and said he never heard that before. I guess it's best to just sit back, wait and see what happens.

Meeting was from 4:30 to 7:30

Got there about 4:40 and as I entered the building and talked to a Shell Rep.

was told that I was about the 200 person there.  Had to drive all over the place to

get a parking spot.  They expected 300-400.  They definitely got that.

Areas were set up and multiple reps to answer questions:  re. Land...re

Leasing  re pipeline  re fracking, and others.

Food was from Family Tradition, down the road.

Man, but the food was all very good.  coffee, drinks, water and

great deserts.

That's good. They will succeed in ripping apart communities with resentment playing BS games with upfront money. Hilarious.
