Spreading Sand along a newly constructed pipeline!

Just wondering if anyone out there knows why they might be spreading sand along a newly constructed section of pipeline.  Along the Teegarden Pipeline just off Winona before it crosses Depot Rd they have been hauling in truckload after truckload of sand in the same type of truck used for frack sand.  They are moving it into a spreader truck and spreading it out on the ground there.  The entrance is easily visible and last night the trucks were parked in the road offloading sand into the spreader trucks.  But back where they are working it is not as easy to see.  Just wondering if something happened there a leak or a spill.  I know there are wetlands not too far from there.  I first saw them on Sunday and they seem to be bringing even more sand and equipment each day. The first day the sand trucks were actually driving back into the area but now they are just unloading them on the road and they seem to have at least three spreader trucks now which I did not see the first day.  I have looked online to see if there was anything in the paper but I have not located anything yet.

Are you sure it is sand?  Maybe it is a planting mix of sand, seed, lime, fertilizer.  Or some other mix.

Based on what I have seen in our area over the past two years it is just sand.  It is unusual activity having seen five different pipelines or sections go in here.  It does not appear to be any part of reclamation.  I do not see any water ... seed being sprayed on ... nothing green at all.  Millport is complete and being reclaimed.  They are grading top soil and should be putting seed down soon.

Teegarden is still being completed ... Phase III is still being installed from Roy D to Mellenger/Hartz.  I do not see any reclamation yet along this pipeline. This activity is just one small area not along the entire length of this phase of the pipeline.  I don't believe this entire pipeline has been pressure tested yet either so they would not be reclaiming it yet.  They bury the pipe then pressure test. We did see them dig up one small section while pressure testing Millport.  But I have never seen any activity like this before.

White board installed. This is Huffman sp? Trust Well Pad! WOW never saw the pad actually being built so up close and several days in a row. Can't acctually see pad from street.
