Dennis,

I read an article in the Steubenville Herald-Star in the Aug 4 edition that the case was continued to give time for the parties to work out a settlement.  That's all I know about that case.  I do know there are two cases in Harrison County where you live, one with the Thompson family and one with the Teter property resisting Sunoco.  Don't know the status of them but will respond when I find out more.  From what I hear, Sunoco is saying they will transport numerous petroleum products, which is at odds with their earlier statements that the line would transport ethane.  Ethane lines do not qualify for eminent domain.

Thanks Joe ... I have heard that a settlement has been reach with the land owners on the lineal footages . But no amount has been given out ... Was curious about property damages cost that can be received along with the pipeline . Not hearing anyone on this subject ... they need to address this before signing . Thanks again , appreciate any more info .

The highest settlement I have heard of with Sunoco in our area was in the $100 per foot range, with some additional amount for damages.  The landowner stated that the bulk of the settlement was in the linear foot price; the only damages consisted of loss of hay production.  I have heard that they were lowballing everyone with initial offers of less than $5 per foot to about $9 per foot.
