How are the surging natural gas prices affecting drilling this year, and what about going into 2022? Are the gas companies taking advantage of these higher prices? What`s next?

In my view, it`s good that supply from so many wells has increased. From "a waiting a long time land owner for gas royalties", I think opening those valves means quicker well decline, and thus more wells to be drilled to catch-up. Might be a simplistic view point but it makes sense to me.
Farmgas , I like your optimism ! I sincerely hope your gas royalty dreams come true .. Permian is getting gassier all the time , old wells produce a lot less oil and the gas ratio increases .. Also as Tier #1 in Permian gets developed the gassier sections are slowly coming into play ... Much Permian gas gets to the WAHA hub where prices often get in the $1 range due to excess gas .. Appalachia is somewhat constrianed by pipeline issues .. Haynesville basically needs $3 gas to keep them happy . HAynesville valves have probably opened as of late ... Anadarko as well is a more expensive play ..
Hey Farmgas , your Diversified Energy is looking to be listed on the NYSE
I saw that today. Onward & upward for them. Just wish their royalty gas price would go up too.
Tough gas market today
Reverse split coming [ usually drifts lower after split ] , High debt to asset ratio ... The entry into the NYSE seems like a way to raise $$$$ ... Dividend rate at this level hardly ever is sustainable... I will watch from the sidelines
Late Nov and a sub $3 price , while production surges .. Haynesville valves have opened
What well conditions do gas companies consider to plug an old conventional well? I realize production is a important factor but at what level do they pull the plug and end the well life? They might loose the lease if they plug the well, right?
Probably get a Lawyer to look at your lease agreement .. Laws vary from State to State , definitions vary as well . " Productive ' is a word with many interpretations ..Sadly , Lawyers are a necessary 'evil' in todays world ..
My royalties have been dropping lower and lower month after month with Eqt.Is it the company or is everyone else going through the same thing? And-is there any explanation for these low royalties ?
Lower prices from last winter

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
