This is a long "video" but it discusses the lack of sustainability of oil supply world-wide, the coming oil crash,

the end of the era of cheap gasoline, the viability and lack thereof of other technology such as solar, fossils, nuclear etc.,.    It does not discuss much about the newly discovered natural gas finds in the United States.  I am not sure when this video was made but to me it points out the value of mineral rights in areas that have resources.

Worldwide demand far exceeds supply and eventually as technology improves natural gas could end up being the energy of choice.
